What are the documents certification guidelines?

  • All certifications must be performed by a lawyer, accountant, or notary.
  • Each document must:
    1. Be certified as a “true copy of the original”
    2. Be dated and signed in original (no electronic signatures)
    3. Include certifier’s full name, profession, contact info, and address
  • For passports: certifier must also confirm the photo is a true likeness.
  • For multi-page documents: either certify each page or certify the first page and mention the total number of pages.
  • If the document is not in English, include both:
  1. Certified true copy of the original
  2. Certified translation
