What is the difference between the Compliance Officer and the Local Reporting Officer in Nevis?
The Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the operator’s overall compliance program, including AML/CFT obligations, internal controls, and regulatory reporting, and must act independently from ownership or directorship. The Local Reporting Officer, by contrast, must be resident in Nevis and serves as the official local point of contact with the Authority, ensuring timely submission of reports and effective day-to-day liaison on regulatory matters.
